Owner, Palm Beach Regency
Meet Korinne Belock, the owner of vintage furnishings and decor brand, Palm Beach Regency. With a thoughtful eye for color and all things bamboo, PBR has two retail locations -  a sprawling warehouse in Lake Park and a brand new  showroom on South Dixie.

In addition to sourcing pieces that celebrate the best of Old Florida and the Hollywood Regency era, Korinne is also known (and loved) for planning fabulous year-round events, including the Sunset Soso Market and notably, this spring's Palm Royale screening.

A native Texan, you moved to West Palm Beach in 2017 after many years in NYC. What first drew you and your husband (business partner, too!) to the area?

Korinne: One of the most life changing moments was our move to Palm Beach in 2017. My husband D.J. was previously working in finance as a former investment banker and private equity executive, and was recruited to Sterling Organization as their CFO. When we visited for the recruiting trip, we immediately felt at home. We’ve always loved the ocean and feel so grateful his work brought us to this special community.

The appetite for vintage Hollywood Regency furniture and decor seems to have exploded since Covid. What do you think attributed to the surge in popularity for this design style?

Korinne: Palm Beach is certainly having a moment! But it’s more than that. Palm Beach has always been an epicenter of vintage style. There is an innate love here for old, beautiful, unique things from homes to furniture to fashion. It’s such a joy to make that classic style accessible to so many that have moved here in the last few years.

Where do you find most of your products?

Korinne: Under every rock and in every nook and cranny between here and there! But seriously, you don’t expect us to give away all our secrets, right? Just kidding… I do source across Florida and the United States. It’s a pretty even breakdown as I source from estate sales, vintage markets and shops and private individuals. Turn me loose, and I’ll always find something to buy! Thankfully there’s still turnover of quality, timeless pieces in our area, so I’m always on the hunt, getting creative and thinking bigger.

The PBR team has grown considerably since you acquired the business. How many team members do you have currently have?

Korinne: I couldn’t do this without the P.B.R team! Since we purchased the business about three and a half years ago, we’ve grown the team from zero to eight. With the exception of my business partner, we’re an all female team. I’m incredibly proud of that!

In addition to the original Lake Park location, you launched your fabulous West Palm Beach showroom on South Dixie last year. How has this space “taken things up a notch” for PBR?

Korinne: The Showroom has been an incredible expansion opportunity for us! You know how busy it gets here in the season and sometimes trekking up to our Warehouse in Lake Park just isn’t in the cards, even if you live here year round. With all our inventory online, clients can shop via a large screen at the Showroom as well. We’ve also been able to fill a void with unique, affordable hostess gifts, tabletop and new accessories to the growing area South of Southern Boulevard. And there’s more to come!

You are community-minded first and foremost, and have spearheaded a suite of fabulous events. What do you have in the works for the upcoming season?

Korinne: We’re excited to expand our very successful Sunset Markets, hosted with our Showroom neighbor Chelsea Lane, to feature so many local businesses. We’re also planning a schedule of creative, interactive and FUN events at the Showroom and expect to have some new brands popping up throughout the season. We’re finalizing the calendar for the upcoming season, so stay tuned for more on that!

Who are the other local businesses and/or entrepreneurs you admire? Is there a ‘wishlist’ partner you would like to potentially team up with on an event or brand activation?

Korinne: One of the best parts of owning this business is making real connections with the local business community. A dream partnership would be with Stubbs and Wootten, because I’d love to see iconic vintage furniture on a velvet loafer. Lycette Designs would be another dream partnership. Jessica’s sense of color and style are inspiring. Of course, our incredibly talented local design community is always an inspiration. I’d love to feature some of our big local design stars for a book signing or design conversation any day of the week. Just going to put that out there!

What featured Privet event are you most excited about this summer?

Korinne: What an incredible calendar y’all have put together! I’m never going to be bored again! The Vintage Supermarket at Grandview on Saturday, July 20 from 4pm to 9pm sounds like a blast. I love supporting other local vintage lovers, so I’m definitely going to swing by and shop.
