PRIVET is a free web and mobile-based portal to all the events, activities, businesses, and virtually every valuable resource in and around Palm Beach.  This service is provided "for residents by residents." We also hope to welcome new residents, support the vital businesses and organizations that help make Palm Beach special and continue to engage and connect our community.

leaders.

ACCESSIBILITY

PRIVET is purposefully simple to navigate and clean in design to support all ages and abilities. We are actively working towards achieving a fully accessible website that conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA Success Criteria (WCAG 2.1 AA). Our website will be audited on a periodic basis to try to ensure that it remains fully accessible.

HOW DID PRIVET GET STARTED? 

The concept for PRIVET came out of the Strategic Planning Committee at the Palm Beach Civic Association (PBCA) which identified a resident need for helpful access to local information.  The initial version was developed in 2020 when there was also much pandemic concern about the health of our local retailers.  A business preview was launched to over 1,000 local businesses and organizations with the generous help of the PBCA and Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce.  We incorporated local business and resident feedback and PRIVET launched in the fall of 2023.  Special thanks to Harvey Poppel and Nicki McDonald for their PBCA Strategic Planning Committee leadership.

WILL YOU LAUNCH PRIVET FOR OTHER COMMUNITIES? 

We are!  We are looking to launch additional locations in 2024 and you can see a full list of our future locations HERE.  Please contact us if you would like more information or are interested in helping launch a specific location.

WHO GETS LISTED ON PRIVET? 

While site sponsors and partners receive some listing benefits, our intent is to provide an opportunity for any entity that serves the residents or supports the local community.  PRIVET does not provide opinions about specific businesses, although we allow individuals to do so through our PRIVET PICKS feature.  Qualifications for businesses or organization inclusion are listed in our BUSINESS PROFILE FORM and are reviewed periodically by our PRIVET Advisory Panel.

HOW DO I GET MY EVENTS LISTED ON THE CALENDAR? 

If you are not an existing PRIVET business, please fill out the Business Profile Form HERE.  If you have updates, please send your event details (including your registration link) to our community manager HERE if you are qualified to list events on PRIVET.  Sorry, but we are not able to list any unqualified events at this time.  We have some limitations for our event listings depending on your business classification.

WHAT IS PRIVETIQ? 

PrivetIQ, a community-focused and AI-powered knowledge base, allows residents to learn from each other's local expertise. This knowledge will build over time but our core belief is that nothing beats authentic neighbor to neighbor recommendations.
